| Photo Imaging - Selecting the Right Photo |
|
Below are some basic guidelines for selecting an appropriate image for engraving.. |
| • |
Select clear, crisp, well focused images. |
| • |
Select images with all of the subject clearly visible. |
| • |
Select large close ups of the subject or persons face |
| • |
A file size of approximately 2 to 3 megabits should suffice |
| • |
A windows bitmap is the preferred file type |
| • |
Don’t select images that are out of focus or blurry. |
| • |
Don’t select dark images or that have shadows on and around the face |
| • |
Don’t select photos that are taken from a distance. |
| • |
Don’t select small images with little detail in the face area. |
|
Don’t be put off by the above requirements as a simple phone call in most cases will clarify exactly what we need.
